MEASUREMENTS

Please note that the measurements provided are for guidance only, as every woman’s body is unique and beautiful. Your size may be larger or smaller than the average.

HOLLOW TO HEM MEASUREMENT

To measure from hollow to hem, place the tape measure at the hollow of the neck and extend it straight down to the desired hemline.

ABOVE WAIST

NECK MEASUREMENT

To take the neck measurement, wrap a measuring tape around the base of the neck, where a shirt collar would sit, ensuring it fits snugly but comfortably without pressing into the skin.

SHOULDER LENGTH MEASUREMENT

To take the shoulder length measurement, place the tape measure at the base of the neck where the shoulder meets the collarbone and measure to the end of the shoulder, where the arm starts.

HIPS TO WAIST MEASUREMENT

To take the hip-to-waist measurement, measure from the fullest part of the hips (around the widest point) up to the natural waistline (the narrowest part of the torso), keeping the tape measure straight and parallel to the floor.

SHOULDER SLOPE MEASURMENT

To measure the shoulder slope, place the tape measure at the base of the neck and extend it diagonally across the shoulder to the outer edge where the arm begins.

ACROSS CHEST MEASUREMENT

To take the across chest measurement, measure from one armpit seam to the other across the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape measure parallel to the ground and snug but not tight.

ACROSS SHOULDER MEASURMENT

To take the across shoulder measurement, place the tape measure at the outer edge of one shoulder seam and extend it horizontally across the back to the outer edge of the other shoulder seam.

APEX TO APEX MEASUREMENT

To measure apex to apex, place the tape measure at the highest point of one breast and extend it horizontally to the highest point of the other breast.

UPPER BUST MEASUREMENT

To take the upper bust measurement, place the tape measure around the chest just above the bust, under the arms, and ensure it is snug but not tight.

BUST MEASUREMENT

To take the bust measurement, wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of the bust, keeping it parallel to the ground and ensuring it’s snug but not tight.

UNDER BUST MEASUREMENT

To take the under bust measurement, wrap the tape measure around the ribcage just below the bust, ensuring it is level and snug but not tight.

WAIST MEASUREMENT

To take the waist measurement, wrap the tape measure around the natural waistline, which is the narrowest part of the torso, and ensure the tape is level and snug but not tight.

UNDERARM TO WAISTLINE MEASUREMENT

To take the underarm to waistline measurement, place the tape measure at the underarm, then extend it vertically down to the natural waistline, keeping the tape straight and snug against the body.

BELOW WAIST

ABDOMEN MEASUREMENT

To take the abdomen measurement, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of the abdomen, usually at the level of the belly button, ensuring the tape is level and snug but not tight.

HIP MEASUREMENT

To take the hip measurement, wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of the hips and buttocks, ensuring the tape is level and snug but not tight.

WAIST TO HIP MEASUREMENT

To measure from the waist to the hip, place the tape measure at the natural waistline and extend it vertically down to the fullest part of the hips.

WAIST TO KNEE MEASUREMENT

To measure from the waist to the knee, place the tape measure at the natural waistline and extend it vertically down to the middle of the knee, ensuring the tape remains straight and parallel to the ground.

WAIST TO FLOOR MEASUREMENT

To measure from the waist to the floor, place the tape measure at the natural waistline and extend it vertically down to the floor, ensuring the tape measure is straight and the wearer is standing upright.

SIDE TO FLOOR MEASUREMENT

To measure from the side to the floor, place the tape measure at the side of the waist and extend it vertically down to the floor, keeping the tape measure straight and parallel to the body.

ARM

ARMSCYE MEASUREMENT

To measure the armhole (armscye), wrap the tape measure around the shoulder and underarm, keeping it snug but not tight, and measure the circumference where the armhole will sit.

BICEP MEASUREMENT

To measure the bicep, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of the upper arm, ensuring it is snug but not tight, and keep the arm relaxed and straight.

ELBOW MEASUREMENT

To measure the elbow, place the tape measure around the elbow joint with the arm slightly bent, ensuring the tape is snug but not tight, and measure the circumference around the elbow.

FOREARM MEASURMENT

To measure the forearm, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of the forearm, typically midway between the elbow and wrist, ensuring the tape is snug but not tight.

WRIST MEASUREMENT

To measure the wrist, wrap the tape measure around the narrowest part of the wrist, just above the bone, ensuring the tape is snug but not tight.

ARM LENGTH MEASUREMENT

To measure arm length, start at the shoulder seam or top of the shoulder, extend the tape measure down the outer side of the arm to the wrist bone, keeping the arm relaxed and straight.

ELBOW LENGTH MEASUREMENT

To measure elbow length, place the tape measure at the shoulder seam and extend it down the outer side of the arm to the elbow joint, keeping the arm relaxed and slightly bent.

ADDITIONAL INFO (DEPENDS ON PROJECT)

TRAIN LENGTH

To measure train length, place the tape measure at the bottom of your shoe and extend it straight out behind you to the end of the train, ensuring the tape is level and follows the desired length.

VEIL LENGTH

To measure veil length, place the tape measure at the desired attachment point on the head (typically where the veil will be secured) and extend it down to the desired length, ensuring the tape measure is straight and follows the natural fall of the veil.
